Welcome to AIRSPOT
This app helps you log indoor air quality readings from your portable CO₂ monitor over 7 days.
Your Assignment
Record at least 3 CO₂ readings per day for 7 days (minimum 21 total readings).
Study period:
Critical step: Wait at least 10 minutes in each location before recording your CO₂ reading. The app includes a built-in timer to help you do this correctly.
How to Take a Reading
1. Arrive at the location and place your monitor at breathing height (desk/table level), away from windows, doors, and your direct breath.
2. Open the app and enter your location details.
3. Start the 10-minute timer and wait.
4. When the timer finishes, record the CO₂ ppm value shown on your monitor.
5. Fill in the environmental details and save.
Tips for Good Data
• Try to capture a variety of spaces: classrooms, your home, transit, dining areas, libraries, etc.
• Include at least 1–2 outdoor readings as a baseline reference (~400–450 ppm is typical outdoors).
• Name your locations consistently (e.g., "Huff Hall 209" not just "classroom") so you can compare repeat visits.
• Keep the monitor powered on and away from drafts for accurate readings.
Data storage: All readings are stored locally in this browser only. If you clear browser data or switch devices, your readings will be lost unless you export a backup. Use the Export tab regularly.
